Situated just 100 metres from Crosby beach in the exclusive Liverpool suburb of Blundellsands, Sandymount Retreat Centre offers a peaceful space for your retreat, meeting or funeral reception. Set in its own grounds, this Victorian mansion retains its original charm combined with modern meeting and conference rooms to suit various group sizes.
At the heart of the house is the beautiful chapel that accommodates up to 70 people and is available to any group using Sandymount. Meeting rooms can be adapted for use by small or larger groups of up to 50 people. The lounge can be used for informal occasions for up to 9 people and the garden room and conservatory can accommodate 50 or 40 people respectively.
Full catering facilities are available for all events and all dietary requirements can be met.
We provide projector, flipchart, paper and pens at no additional charge provided they are requested at the time of booking.
There is a loop induction system in three of our meeting rooms. All floors are served by a lift and there is wheelchair access at the main entrance via a platform lift and level access into the garden room.
Residential accommodation is available in pleasant bedrooms overlooking the grounds or River Mersey. Bedrooms are a mix of ensuite twin, twin and single. Bedrooms are accessible by lift and one is adapted for wheelchair users. Guests have 24 hour access to self-service tea and coffee and microwave. The comfortable guest sitting room has TV and DVD and a well stocked library. Guests are welcome to sit in the paneled lounge hall where there is a selection of music CDs.
Travel to Sandymount
Sandymount has ample on site parking. We are just 10 minutes walk from Blundellsands and Crosby Merseyrail station with trains every 15 minutes from Liverpool city centre and Southport. For SatNav, the post code is L23 6TH.
Sandymount Retreat Centre is owned and run by the Montfort Missionaries, a religious order in the Roman Catholic Church founded by St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. He was a missionary, preaching the Gospel wherever he went and in whatever he did. It is in the spirit of the founder that we undertake our work at Sandymount and willingly share this beautiful resource with like minded people.
